Via the Commercial Airports
Grenoble, France | Lyon-Saint Exupery, France | Geneva, Switzerland | Turin, Italy
Although Grenoble Airport is the nearest and the most convenient for clients! Lyon and Geneva which both have good bus (Lyon) and (Geneva) services to Grenoble Train Station. We would suggest avoiding Turin, Italy. There are no bus or train links except car rental and due to the fact that the drive from Turin to La Grave requires crossing two high passes subject to closure in snowy weather. The drive around can take more than 5 hours…
”If you are arriving to the airport at Turin, Italy”
We would suggest Turin airport due to the fact that there is no verdict about the situation about the tunnnel at lac chambon yet! Even if the drive from Turin to La Grave requires crossing one high mountain pass sometimes subject to closure in snowy weather. The state has allowed for a a bigger budget for snow removal and road maintenance to keep the col du lautaret open!
